Great piece of equipment. I held off in buying a Labradar due to set up and operating issues I heard abiur. I was able to operate the Xero right out of the box and shooting within minutes. Set up was a breeze. I am very satisfied with it. It’s size is a definite plus. I can store it in my rifle bag and not another item I may forget to bring to the range.

I own an Oehler 35p. The oehler needs a bit of light for the sky screens to work consistent. I love the oehler, but it takes so long to setup. I setup the garmin xero inside my house with less light available. I shot an airgun to test the results. I shot 10 test shots and the xero picked up every shot. The app worked great with the xero. Highly recommend the xero c1!

I’ve used the old style chronograph for at least 40 years. It works but it’s a pain in the butt to set up just right & you can’t monitor each shot because it’s too far away out in front of your bench.
This new Garmin is amazing – just turn it on, set it down on the bench & shoot & the information is right there next to you. It is expensive as hell but it works great & is so much more convenient that I’ll use it much more often because there is no set up or fussing with rods & shades that rip etc…FYI – I did not get the ARCA rail attachment which saved some $’s. Also I prefer using the Garmin Xero C1 away from my rifle on its own built in little tripod. The settings have options re: the type of info you record & keep track of. Simply put this thing works great & is simple to set up & use.

I have a magnetospeed sporter and for the price, it’s a darn good chronograph. However, it is mounted underneath the barrel and does change the point of impact. Garmin recent came out with these new chronographs and were literally, flying off the shelves. Was put on the “backorder” watchlist and was lucky enough to follow through with a purchase. Have used the Garmin several times already and it is far superior to the magnetospeed. Easy of use, no need for a separate app for determine sd’s and es’s and display is far beyond my expectations. I highly recommend the Garmin Xero C1 Chronograph!
