NOTE: Rail kits now come with only one action screw, and it is a longer screw. With the endless action/stock/chassis combos we found that nearly everyone was required to trim the screw for fitment anyway, so the longer screw makes much more sense. MLOK HARDWARE IS NOT INCLUDED.
Area 419 is always looking for ways to improve existing products when we are not developing new technologies. With the rapid growth in popularity of ARCA rails in precision rifle, we saw a need to improve this great dovetail technology to something that could be mechanically locked in place instead of just friction. If you have ever tried using a Barricade stop on an existing ARCA rail, you’ve probably also seen it slide under much pressure.
Introducing the ARCALOCK Dovetail Rail System *Rail is only locking with an Area 419 clamp*
Rail Features:
– Universal rail design is the same footprint as our previous rail. (There were two revisions to the hole spacing, if you have a very early model your hole spacing may change)
– Serrated rail sides interface with our proprietary clamp design to mechanically lock it in place so no movement is possible. Serrations are not sharp, will not damage bags or your hands.
– 65 Locking positions available on the 14″ rail
– Rail is backwards compatible with standard Arca accessories, but will not be locking without our clamp
– Serrated fixed rear barricade stop is same as before, but now we include an extension plug to raise it by another 1/2″
– Rail is 14″ long giving you the entire length of the stock forend for attachments. The best part is, it still only weighs in at a paltry 5.6oz
– Made to the RRS 1.5″ Dovetail Standard, so you can be sure lever clamps will work
– No sharp edges. Every corner is radiused, and every edge is chamfered on the machine. This takes longer to make, but it is the only right way.
– While designed with Manners Composite Stocks in mind, this rail accommodates a multitude of rifle and stock configurations that have an accessible front action screw and some sort of front attachment point(s).
– Spacers for rifle stocks with non-flat forends are available HERE
– Designed to attach to the rifle up to 4 places for maximum strength and stability.
– Extends past the end of most rifle stocks, allowing a further forward bipod attachment, increasing stability.
– Type 3 Hard Coat anodized for additional durability.
– Made from 6061-T6 Aluminum
– Made in-house here in the USA from USA sourced Aluminum on USA made CNCs
– Rail comes with one Remington 700-style action screws of extended length to fit the rail to the front action screw attachment point. Some trimming will likely be required.
– A 3/4″ paddle bit and drill press may be required for installation of tee-nuts, depending on current rifle configuration. Tee nuts and hardware included.

This rail is as easy to install. Cut my action bolt to the correct length and installed per their directions on my Manners stock and it has performed flawlessly. The arca is light, easy to slide your bipod back or forward when shooting from modified prone, to tripod, and to using one of their bags, it’s very versatile. And the barricade stop gives me the ability to push my rifle into my bag or barrier to build a rock solid position without the chance of putting pressure on the magazine potentially causing a feeding issue on the clock. It’s a solid product that I highly recommend!

The rail is a perfect fit on my Bergara B14R – cut the provided action bolt with a dremel (used a couple extra nuts on the bolt to keep the thread) after measuring against the original. You only need to remove a few threads.

I have 4 of your rails, 2 22LR scope rails, 2 harris bipod barricade adapters and 3 muzzle brakes (Hellfire Match in 2x .30 & 1x in 6.5). I’ve adapted all the ARCA rails to older XLR chassis’ and right now I swap bipods. Your specific ARCA rail is great because the ARCA rails are so consistent between trainers and match guns, and with the locking system, they NEVER slip. Not sure about the serrated edges on the rail yet. They are not sharp, but are not very comfortable in the support hand. Probably will not be an issue as this will almost always be shot from a bench and supported by bag or bipod.

I mounted this rail on a CZ 457 Varmint MTR. Not being a wood worker I didn’t take into consideration the thickness of the stock when installing the T-nuts so the included screws were too short. No problem getting longer screws at the hardware store and all is good.

So ordered 2 of these for Begara B14R’s for me and wife. These rails are awesome and fit just fine. Do make sure to use a metal or straight ruler that you know is correct. Tape measures can be inaccurate. Fit and finish is great, bolts work where they are supposed to. Do know that Allen heads will change with this upgrade for the front action bolt. Easy to install, just make sure you have a way of measuring inch pounds when tightening action screws back up.

Love the product but didn’t care for the lack of instruction. I had to do some engineering to make it work. Never having drilled into a synthetic stock I felt a bit unsure. I reached out to Area419 for help and didn’t get any. So I found an example, not exact but close to my rifle.
My main help came from asking a group called Pursuit of Accuracy who provided some pics and some instructions. I do like the product.

A great rail. Instead of using the enclosed T-nuts, to mount on my CZ457, I used the nuts that come with standard 10-32 sling swivel studs and bought some 1” 10-32 low cap screws to mount the rail. The 10-32 screws in the kit were a tad too short for my need. FYI an old Stanley #59 doweling jig was used in lieu of a drill press and the hole to fit the locking nuts was done with a counter sink for wood screws. Not perfect, but the enemy of good is better.
