With the elastic band you can store a pen, sharpie, and weather meter. There is even a small pocket to keep other paperwork neatly organized. This is a great ideas, to have a ”Fields Note’s book”, it’s the right sizes, and can carry all of yours, Ballistics charts, and other’s papers that relay protected from the element’s/and is durable, draw your sites of position tracks, and draw maps even with high winds and For, the high wings, raining, and more.
