Area 419 is always looking for ways to improve existing products when we are not developing new technologies. With the rapid growth in popularity of ARCA rails in precision rifle, we saw a need to improve this great dovetail technology to something that could be mechanically locked in place instead of just friction. If you have ever tried using a Barricade stop on an existing ARCA rail, you’ve probably also seen it slide under much pressure.
Introducing the ARCALOCK Dovetail Rail System *Rail is only locking with an Area 419 clamp*
Rail Features:
– Serrated rail sides interface with our proprietary clamp design to mechanically lock it in place so no movement is possible. Serrations are not sharp, will not damage bags or your hands.
– Rail is backwards compatible with standard Arca accessories, but will not be locking without our clamp
– Rail is 8″ long giving you the entire length of the stock forend for attachments. The best part is, it still only weighs in at a paltry 3 oz
– Made to the RRS 1.5″ Dovetail Standard, so you can be sure lever clamps will work
– No sharp edges. Every corner is radiused, and every edge is chamfered on the machine. This takes longer to make, but it is the only right way.
– Type 3 Hard Coat anodized for additional durability.
– Made from 6061-T6 Aluminum
– Made in-house here in the USA from USA sourced Aluminum on USA made CNCs
– Fits a MPA CZ455 chassis with no modifications

I was able to attach this to my savage mark ii. I swapped it for the 12″ rail to accommodate a tripod and rail changer with the 3 lb bag. The overlap of the 12″ rail on the front of the rifle (with a Boyd stock) allowed me to mount a weight to balance the rifle. Its maximum performance value for the savage mark ii setup with a At One Boyd stock. I feel the Area419 products and options will bolster this setup for NRL22 shooting. Will post a video link on how to modify to adapt to this rifle/stock platform. Its a game changer!

the screws that came with kit, that fit T-bolts had very small head that did fit the holes in the rail. No washers to fit the hole. I replaced the bolts with larger heads.

Several months ago, I made two decisions. The first was to give an ARCA rail a try. The second was to buy yet another pricey tripod setup, all in the hunt for the rail & tripod system that I love. I chose an Area 419 Arcalock rail as the Arca test subject and a Vortex Radian Carbon Fiber tripod with pan/tilt ball head. Lastly, I put a Really Right Stuff 60mm Lever Release Clamp (B2-LR-II) on top of the Vortex tripod.
The tripod setup is the silent, velvet smooth, and sturdy and is my favorite of the five near $1000 tripod setups I own. The Area 419 Arcalock rail & the Really Right Stuff 60mm lever clamp are the perfect pair every shooter who utilizes a monopod, bipod, or tripod should try. I have found the setup I have zero desire to leave. The Area 419 Arcalock rail is extraordinarily well made. I have since put an Area 419 Arcalock rail on every long gun which I ever intend to use on a mono, bi, or tripod.
To facilitate the ability to quickly & easily connect & disconnect a mono or bipod to my long guns outfitted with the Area 419 Arcalock rails, I bought an Area 419 clamp & Picatinny/1913 Adapter for Arcalock clamps for every mono and bipod I regularly use (because each uses Picatinny to connect to a gun). Now, each of the mono or bipods I regularly use has its own clamp & pic rail adapter combo attached to it. The net result is the ability to connect or disconnect the desired mono or bipod to the long gun I’m using in a few seconds and the connection is silent and strong as a weld.
I promise you can’t go wrong with the Area 419 Arcalock rails and the equipment combinations described above. They will be my sole setups for countless years to come.

Does exactly what it’s advertised to do. Attaches to the MPA CZ455 BA lite chassis so you can have an arca rail.
It does not come with the correct screws to attach it so plan on spending time and money figuring out what screws you need. I ended up using 5/8″ Low-Profile 1/4″-20 socket screws with 1/4″-20 low profile nuts for the two holes near the mag well and 3/8″ Low-Profile 10-32 screws for the two holes towards the front. (I have a MPA spigot mount on mine.)
