When we set out to make an ideal scope ring, the things we knew we needed to accomplish, and do to a degree you won’t find anywhere else on the market, is to produce a reliable, and true capture of the optic. This led us down a rabbit-hole, ultimately arriving on a process that gets you serialized, final-bore matched rings, with raw aluminum internals, for a grip on your optic that is more reliable and more true than anything else made.
Like most rings, these begin as separate parts. We are making the bases and caps in batches. While many will make these parts, send them to anodize, and then just assemble, we produce around the extra steps. Once these parts return from anodize, they are fully assembled, placed back into specially produced rail fixtures, with the caps torqued to spec over specially made spacers (to give the rings space to torque down on the optic), and final-bored as sets in our world-class machining centers. Rings are then brought off the machine in sets, and placed into the laser to mark them as sets, with each set being uniquely identified as a match to its precision-bored counterparts.
Is it overkill? Probably. But we think it’s the right way. So that’s what we are going to do.

Bought these over a British brand for my Zeiss LRP S5. I went with the 28mm height option. I ultimately decided on these rings because I thought the price was more than fair in the premium optic mount space. The only issue I had before receiving them was the machine marks on the top of the cap. I like the overall smooth aesthetic design but I was concerned that the machine marks were too heavy to overlook. I’m HAPPY to report that it’s not as pronounced as it seems in pictures. What’s more is the finish is super smooth and adds to the looks and quality. I think Area419 can improve by “sanding” the top of the caps in the future, but overall I’m very pleased with the product and would recommend them.

The only negative to these scope rings is the price period. I am a machinist with 20 plus years in the trade and when I saw the manufacturing process of these rings I said if I were going to make rings the best way possible this is how I would make them. They are I believe the best rings on the market.

These are the best scope rings I have ever bought. They are solid. They are wider and heavier than the Nightforce Ultralight rings I usually buy. But, using the AREA 419 mounting process, the Nightforce ATACR 7-35×56 F1 scope mounted more securely and better than the Nightforce rings. I mounted this scope onto my Daniel Defense Delta 5 Pro and if it weren’t for the scalloped chassis, I wouldn’t have been able to mount the scope onto this rifle. That is the only complaint I have, there should be more options for higher rings. The scope is mounted on a 20moa picatinny rail.
I “bore” sighted the scope at a target positioned 35 feet from the muzzle and use a laser bore sighter to fine tune the scope. The center dot on the scope was perfectly aligned – both elevation and windage – with the laser. Due to the 20-moa rail, I raised the center of the scope reticle about 4 inches from the point of the laser on the target to properly compensate for the 20-moa rail. The first shot at the range at 100 yards was dead center for windage and only 2 inches high. These rings are well worth the money.

I expected perfection, yet these exceeded my expectations. I do not know how you make a better set of rings. These are so exactly machined, they actually create a small vacuum force that slightly resists deprecating them from the scope body. They do drag on the body, it’s a vacuum affect like two very flat surfaces placed on top of each other. 11/10
